Alma and Alea acquire first light industrial property in the Helsinki metropolitan area

Alma Property Partners and Alea Partners acquired their first light industrial property in the Helsinki metropolitan area through a newly established joint venture called UrbanLight.

UrbanLight invests in logistics, last mile and light industrial properties located in key locations in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The company acquired its first property located at Högbergintie 4 in the logistics area of Jussla in Tuusula. The area, located near the Helsinki airport, has been developing into a strong logistics location for many years as older light industrial buildings have been converted into modern light industrial and logistics properties. The property has approximately 2,500 sqm of lettable area and is situated on a vast plot spanning 30,000 sqm. The property is fully leased to BIMU Oy, a company specializing in environmental services.

‟Alma has successfully been investing in the last mile and light industrial segment in the capital regions of Sweden and Denmark. We are excited to team up with Alea Partners and commence investment activities in this segment in the Helsinki metropolitan through our joint venture UrbanLight,” says Robert Landtman, Partner and Head of Finland at Alma Property Partners. ‟We are keen to continue evaluating and acquiring additional assets from the strong pipeline that we have been developing. We plan to work actively to improve the value of the assets by, among other things, developing modern logistics facilities and improving ESG aspects,” he continues.

‟The acquisition of Högbergintie 4 aligns perfectly with our strategy of investing in high-potential properties within key logistics locations in the Helsinki metropolitan area. With stable cash flow from a high-quality tenant and an expansive land plot, this property presents an excellent first acquisition for our joint venture,” continues Ville Vänttinen, Founding Partner at Alea Partners.
